Tom Guerra and the Mambo Sons:
UV6 through various cabinets:

  • Mambo Sons new single "So Wonderful" on Omnicide Records
"This tune was recorded mostly live with few o/ds. As far as the rig, for the riff rhythm, I used a ES335 59 dot reissue straight into a DST-Engineering UV6, for the wah rhythm the same thing (with a CryBaby in the chain). For the lead in the first part of the song, I also used this same setup with the UV6 set slightly hotter. For the end solo, its a '70's strat, through the CryBaby, through a Colorsound fuzz, into the UV6."
  • Strat into UV6 into 4x10 (MP3) Shure SM57 in front of a Swanson 4 x 10 cabinet driven by the UV6 and a 1958 Strat.
  • Dirty ES335 Sound (MP3) (WMA) ES335 into UV6 into older 2x12 Marshall cab w/Rola G12M Celestions
  • Clean ES335 Sound (MP3) (WMA) ES335 into UV6 into older 2x12 Marshall cab w/Rola G12M Celestions
  • Les Paul into UV6 into 4x12 (MP3) '59 reissue LP through the UV6, with the output CRANKED and the gain at 3, everything else at 12:00, through a 1973 Marshall 4x12 w/ blackbacks. Lots of power tube distortion happening here. This is a tune off Mambo Sons first cd called "Habits of Mine"
